Situated on the Costa Tropical de Granada, Salobrena is a beautiful Andalucian town built on a craggy hill overlooking the Mediterranean. At the top of the hill is the Arab castle where incredible views of the coastline and Sierra Nevada mountains can be enjoyed. The maze of narrow streets beneath the castle offers a charming introduction of Moorish Spain to the visitor.

 Casa Vista Sierra is a perfect holiday destination, designed and furnished by the owners as a real home away from home. The house is extremely well equipped and maintained throughout. The large terrace 9 mtrs x 6 mtrs, furnished with sunloungers and patio furniture has wonderful views across the town and to the Sierra Nevadas.

This 3 bedroom property is set amongst the traditional white Moorish houses of Salobrena old town. The house is located just a short walk from many excellent bars and restaurants and is a 15 minute walk to the beach. Parking is possible in the nearby streets for those with a car but it should be noted that the hilly streets in the old town may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties. There are bus and taxi services in the town at very reasonable prices.

 The house offers extremely spacious accommodation to a high standard with 2 full bathrooms (one on each level). The large openplan sitting room and dining area (with woodburning stove for winter periods) is very comfortably furnished and has TV, video and DVD player.

The Chiringuito bars along the mile long beach offer a variety of refreshments and are exceptionally good value. It is in an ideal location whether you are looking to relax or enjoy the activities that Andalucia has to offer. The Sierra Nevada, Spain's highest mountain range, is a magnificent backdrop to this partly undiscovered area of Spain. The area enjoys a microclimate, subtropical in character, a warm and gentle 18 degrees in winter and an average of 25 degrees in summer.

 The beaches on the Costa Tropical are unspoiled, there are golf courses in Granada (18 holes) and Los Moriscos golf course (9 holes) just 3km from Salobrena, by the sea with a restaurant and bar. There is also the Marina at the Port of Motril. In the winter months you can go skiing in the Sierras in the morning and sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon.
This is the old Andalucian part of Spain, complete with fiestas, whitewashed villages, Moorish castles and some of the best and least expensive food and wine to be found. The restaurants and tapas bars are very good and the fish is excellent.

 There is history to be found everywhere, from the Alhambra Palace in Granada (just 50 minutes by car) to the Alpujarras region. The coastal towns of Almeria, Almunecar, Motril and Nerja are also well worth a visit.

  • Sitting room/Dining Room: spacious and comfortably furnished with 2 sofas, chairs, coffee table, woodburning stove in fireplace, dining table and chairs, sideboard, TV, video, DVD player, selection of books
  • Kitchen: fully fitted kitchen with 2 electric ovens, 5 ring gas hob with extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, iron and ironing board
  • Bathroom 1: located up a short flight of steps from the sitting room with full length bath/shower, toilet, bidet and sink
  • Upstairs to:
    • Landing: a spacious central area with bedroom, bathroom and terrace doors leading off it. At the window end of this room is a conservatory/reading area with views to the mountains.
    • Bedroom 1 : two single beds, in-built wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp, ceiling fan
    • Bedroom 2 : double bed, in-built wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, ceiling fan
    • Bedroom 3 : twin single beds, in-built wardrobes, bedside table and lamp, ceiling fan
    • Bathroom 2: with full length bath/shower, toilet and sink
    • Door to: stairs to roof terrace (it should be noted that the stairs are quite steep)
  • Roof terrace: 9 mtrs x 6 mtrs partly shaded with outdoor table and chairs, sunloungers, BBQ, separate washroom with washing machine and sink
  • Special Notes: room fans and radiators, bedding and bath towels are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels. No pets. Refundable damage deposit €200
